MP claims bribes of up to $150,000 are paid for appointment as TCR head
It is alleged that around $50,000 is paid for appointment as head of a district territorial recruitment center, and about $150,000 for head of a regional TCR. This was stated by People's Deputy from 'Servant of the People' Oleksandr Kachura.
The deputy gave these figures in an interview with Natalia Vlashchenko, speaking about corruption in the system of territorial recruitment centers.
"In order to get to the position of a district TCR, you need to pay 50 thousand dollars... For a regional one the rate is 150", - stated Kachura.
At the same time, the deputy did not specify on the basis of which particular criminal proceedings or other confirmed data he names such amounts. Therefore, this is precisely Kachura's assertion, not officially established by law enforcement single 'tariffs' for positions in TCC.
"Getting out of TCR" - $10-15 thousand
Kachura also claimed that for the possibility of "getting out of the TCC" after getting there as a person liable for military service, allegedly they can demand from 10 to 15 thousand dollars. According to him, the amount depends on the district and region.
The deputy linked the amounts he announced with the question of motivation of people who are ready to pay large bribes for obtaining managerial positions in the recruitment system.
"These people who pay huge bribes there in order to get to this position, do they do it to improve defense capability?" - stated Kachura.
Law enforcement investigates corruption in TCR
Official statistics of law enforcement confirm the existence of numerous criminal proceedings regarding possible abuses in the recruitment system, but do not confirm the announced by Kachura single 'tariffs' of 50 or 150 thousand dollars.
The National Police reported on August 11 that suspicions had already been received by 76 heads of TCC of various levels. Among the cases are receipt of unlawful benefit, illegal assistance in evading military service, and other possible abuses.
Earlier, the National Police reported that in the schemes it documented, the amounts of unlawful benefit for resolving issues related to mobilization reached 25 thousand dollars.
