Almost 40% of new preferential loans received by businesses in risk zones

Ukrainian business over the past week secured 456 new loans worth UAH 1.24 billion under the state program “Affordable Loans 5-7-9%”. The largest volume of new financing went to enterprises operating in high military risk zones.

According to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, over the week such companies attracted UAH 480 million. This is 38.6% of all new loan funds issued under the program during this period.

Since the beginning of 2026, entrepreneurs have received 24.4 thousand loans totaling UAH 109.9 billion under the “5-7-9%” program. The largest volume of financing went to businesses in high military risk zones — UAH 37.6 billion.

Another UAH 29.8 billion since the start of the year was received by processing industry enterprises, while investment projects accounted for UAH 17.1 billion.

A separate energy lending program is also in operation. In 2026, businesses took out 839 loans at 0% totaling UAH 1.26 billion.

The “Affordable Loans 5-7-9%” program has been operating since February 2020 and is part of the “Made in Ukraine” policy. Over the entire period, entrepreneurs have attracted 159.3 thousand loans totaling UAH 572 billion through it. During martial law, 124.5 thousand loans totaling UAH 482.4 billion were issued.

In 2026, the program’s terms were also expanded for enterprises affected by Russian shelling. Businesses can receive preferential financing to restore destroyed or damaged property. For certain priority areas, including recovery and operations in high military risk zones, the maximum loan amount can reach UAH 150 million.
