KLO oil depot near Kyiv halted operations after Russian attack

The oil depot of the KLO filling station network in Brovary district, Kyiv region, ceased operations after a Russian attack on the night of August 20. The company announced this on Instagram.

KLO noted that there were no casualties among the oil depot staff. The company has not yet specified the extent of damage to the facility or the possible timeframe for restoring its operations.

The oil depot was hit during a massive combined Russian attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region. According to emergency services, Brovary district was one of the most affected in the region.

Rescue workers spent the day dealing with the aftermath of strikes on two fuel infrastructure facilities in Brovary district. The work was complicated by the ongoing threat of repeated attacks.

The overnight attack also caused damage to industrial, warehouse and other facilities in the Kyiv region. In Brovary district, as a result of a strike on one of the industrial facilities, a man was killed and two others were injured. KLO separately stressed that there were no deaths or injuries among its oil depot employees.

The company has not yet reported whether the oil depot shutdown will affect fuel supplies to the network's filling stations or the operation of individual fuelling complexes.
