Russia struck the largest shopping center in Kryvyi Rih: death toll rises (Updated)
On the afternoon of August 21, Russian troops attacked the largest shopping complex in Kryvyi Rih with a strike drone. The strike killed 15 people and injured 130 more.
The attack was reported by the head of the Defense Council of Kryvyi Rih, Oleksandr Vilkul. According to his words, after the hit, a fire started in the shopping complex. Emergency rescue operations began immediately on site.
Initially, Vilkul reported that there were many visually injured, without naming an exact number. Later, the data was clarified by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha.
According to information from the Regional Military Administration, as a result of the Russian attack, the shopping center was damaged and a fire broke out. Subsequently, the authorities reported one dead and several injured.
As of 14:00, the fire continued in stores inside the shopping center. Emergency services were working on site.
The name of the attacked shopping complex was not given in the first official messages. Vilkul, however, described the facility as the largest shopping complex in Kryvyi Rih.
A little later, the head of the Regional Military Administration reported that the death toll had increased to two, and the number of wounded to 15.
"Currently, unfortunately, 2 people have died, 52 are wounded, including six children. 20 of them are severe - already in the operating room. The rescue operation continues", - said Vilkul.
Hanzha noted that in Kryvyi Rih, there already five dead as a result of the Russian attack on the shopping center.
At 18:18, Hanzha reported that the number of casualties from the attack had increased to 91.
Updated: Hanzha reported that a man who had received severe injuries during the Russian attack on Kryvyi Rih died in the hospital. Thus, the death toll increased to six.
Later, the regional prosecutor's office reported that the number of injured had increased to 103.

29 people are in serious condition, including five children.
