Sybiga assured that partners heard the request for interceptors for the winter

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga noted that partners have listened to Ukraine's request regarding its extremely important needs for interceptor missiles for the Patriot system, necessary to get through the winter, according to Європейська правда.

Sybiga noted that work continues with those states that have interceptor missiles for Patriot systems. He added that the process is difficult, but there is progress.

"Very difficult. We literally gnaw out, we fight for every item, for every missile, well. But I believe we are moving forward. We are moving forward, partners hear us", – said the minister.

Ukraine, according to him, needs at least 300 missiles to survive the winter.

"The statistics and calculations needed for wintering have been brought to the attention of partners. This war is not only for Ukraine, it is a war for the protection of Europe together with us, and our security is also their security. Therefore, we are actively working. We have, among other things, preliminary, you know, such encouraging signals, so we do not stop", – added Sybiga.

Recently, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that 10% of the missiles for Patriot systems from US reserves would allow Ukrainian defenders to repel all ballistic attacks by the Russian Federation, while 5% would allow them to get through the winter.

It is worth noting that, according to FT, US President Donald Trump refused Zelenskyy's request for hundreds of additional interceptor missiles for Patriot, citing the United States' own needs in the Middle East.
