SAP announced possible assets of Mudra worth a quarter of a billion

Former deputy head of the Presidential Office, Irina Mudra, may have assets worth more than 250 million hryvnias. On this basis, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office considers a bail of 150 million hryvnias justified.

This was stated by the SAP prosecutor during the hearing of the High Anti-Corruption Court, which continues to consider the issue of choosing a preventive measure for Mudra.

According to the prosecutor, the investigation analyzed the property status of the suspect and concluded that the value of assets she may have exceeds 250 million hryvnias. The prosecution cites this assessment as one of the arguments in favor of the requested bail amount.

The SAP asks to send Mudra into custody with the possibility of posting 150 million hryvnias bail. The motion began to be considered on August 21, but the hearing was postponed, after which the HACC continued it on August 24.

At the same time, the assessment of assets at more than 250 million hryvnias is the position of the prosecution, presented when justifying the preventive measure. The court must separately evaluate the evidence presented by the prosecutor and the arguments of the defense.

Mudra is a defendant in criminal proceedings investigated by NABU and SAP. She is charged with participation in the activities of a criminal organization, connected, according to the investigation, with raider seizure of assets and money laundering. Mudra herself denies the accusations and declares her intention to defend her position in accordance with the procedure established by law.
