"Coalition of the willing" issued a joint statement following the meeting in Kyiv

Leaders of the "coalition of the willing" reported on the outcome of the meeting in Kyiv on Ukraine's Independence Day, which some of them attended in person and others via video link, according to Європейська правда.

In the statement, the leaders condemn Russia's systematic and intensifying strikes on Ukrainian cities, critical infrastructure, civilian sites and cultural heritage sites, which have recently resulted in the highest number of civilian casualties since the start of the full-scale war.

The leaders emphasized that Ukraine unequivocally has the right to defend itself in the war of aggression launched against it by Russia, and that Moscow's threats will not deter them from supporting Ukraine.

"The leaders expressed their determination to increase military support for Ukraine, to prioritize strengthening its air defense, to improve cooperation with its defense industry and to share relevant technologies, including within the framework of the 'anti-ballistic coalition'", the statement reads.

They also agreed to tighten sanctions against the Russian defense industry and those who support its operation; to provide immediate energy support to Ukraine in preparation for the next winter; and stressed the need to maintain Ukraine's economic resilience amid Russian attempts to block exports through Black Sea ports.

The leaders agreed to continue efforts to limit Russia's financial resources for waging war through sanctions and countering sanctions evasion, including countering the Russian "shadow fleet".

According to their estimates, joint steps on this issue over the entire period of the full-scale war have prevented Russia from earning approximately $495 billion.

They welcomed the US Senate decision on measures to increase economic pressure on Russia and expressed readiness to cooperate closely with the United States in the near future for coordinated steps.

"The leaders positively assessed President Zelensky's readiness to start substantive peace negotiations to achieve a comprehensive, just and lasting peace, and reiterated the call for Russia to agree to a full, immediate and unconditional ceasefire, starting from the line of contact", the statement reads.

"The coalition will continue to prepare the deployment of multinational forces in Ukraine for the time when there is a credible cessation of hostilities – as part of a broader set of credible politically and legally binding security guarantees to ensure Ukraine's future security and prosperity", the leaders note.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that during the meeting of the "coalition of the willing", Ukraine received "support with military packages, as well as energy packages."

He asked for the next meeting in this format to be held in the autumn.
