Intense fighting continues at the front: 181 clashes over the day

As of 22:00 on August 24, 181 combat clashes occurred at the front. The most intense fighting continued on the Pokrovsk and Konstantinovka directions.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Over the day, Russian troops launched one missile strike with two missiles and 58 air strikes, using 165 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy employed 6060 kamikaze drones for strikes and carried out 2353 shelling attacks on positions of the Ukrainian military and populated areas.

The highest intensity of assault actions was recorded on the Pokrovsk direction. There, Russian troops made 22 attacks towards Novy Donbass, Dobropillia, Volnoye, Novoaleksandrovka, Sergeevka, Muravka, and Novopavlovka, as well as in the areas of Rodinskoye, Mirnoye, Kotlino, Udachnoye, and Novonikolaevka. As of 22:00, one combat clash was ongoing.

According to preliminary data from the General Staff, on this direction Ukrainian troops eliminated 35 Russian servicemen, and 24 more were wounded. Also destroyed were five vehicles, an ammunition depot, five special means, a UAV control point, and 34 enemy personnel shelters.

In addition, Ukrainian forces destroyed or suppressed 242 Russian drones of various types. Two vehicles, five UAV control points, and 118 shelters were damaged.

On the Konstantinovka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 14 Russian assaults in the areas of Konstantinovka, Ivanopolye, Ilyinovka, Novoselovka, Volnoye, and Kucherov Yar. Four combat clashes were still ongoing at the time of publication of the report.

On the South Slobozhansky direction, Russian troops attacked 11 times, and the same number of advancement attempts were repelled by Ukrainian forces on the Liman direction. Another seven attacks were recorded on the Slavic direction.

On the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, eight combat clashes occurred. The enemy carried out 61 shelling attacks there, two of them using multiple launch rocket systems, and also launched an air strike with two guided aerial bombs.

On the Gulyaypole direction, Ukrainian troops repelled six attacks; on the Aleksandrovka direction, Russian troops made three advancement attempts; and on the Orekhov direction, two. On the Kupyansk, Kramatorsk, and Pridneprovsk directions, no offensive actions by Russian troops were recorded during the day.
