Boxing legend Crawford visited Ukraine and gifted Zelensky a present

Legendary American boxer Terence Crawford arrived in Ukraine on August 25 and met with President Vladimir Zelensky. As a sign of support for the country, the former undisputed world champion gifted the head of state a puppy of an American pit bull terrier.

The meeting was reported by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

According to him, Crawford has supported Ukraine since the first days of the full-scale war.

"We really appreciate that such people stand with Ukrainians", — Zelensky said.

The puppy was named Freya

Crawford gave the president a female American pit bull terrier puppy named Freya.

As Zelensky said, the puppy's grandfather named Athos survived the Russian occupation of Bucha. The name Freya was chosen in honor of the future Ukrainian air defense system FREYJA.

"Now Freya bears the name in honor of the future air defense system FREYJA as a symbol of our defense", — the president noted.

Zelensky thanked the American athlete for the meeting, support of Ukraine and an unusual gift.

Crawford ended his career undefeated

Terence Crawford is considered one of the best boxers of his generation. The American became the undisputed world champion in several weight classes and finished his professional career in December 2025.

Crawford retired from boxing undefeated — he has 42 victories in 42 professional fights, 31 of which he finished ahead of schedule.

The detailed program of the athlete's visit to Ukraine has not been publicly disclosed yet.
