Defense Forces deny Russia's claim of capturing Pisarevka

Statements by Russian troops about the alleged capture of the village of Pisarevka in Sumy region do not correspond to reality. The settlement remains under control of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, reported in the military grouping 'Kursk'.

According to Ukrainian military, fighting in the area of Pisarevka continues, but information from Russian sources about the transfer of the village to Russian control is false.

"The settlement is under the control of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, fighting in this direction continues", — stated in the message of the grouping.

In the Ukrainian military they noted that the Russian side has repeatedly declared the capture of Pisarevka. In particular, on July 23, Russian propaganda resources reported the alleged establishment of control over most of the village.

In the "Kursk" grouping they emphasized that the situation in the direction remains controlled, and units of the Defense Forces continue to carry out combat tasks. Ukrainians are urged to rely on official statements of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and not to trust declarations of Russian information resources about the situation at the front.
