Russia attacks business center in Lozova: 10 people injured

On August 26, Russian troops attacked a business center located in a residential area of Lozova, Kharkiv oblast. After the strike, a fire broke out in the building. According to the latest data from local authorities, 10 people were injured.

This was reported by Serhiy Zelensky, head of the Lozova city territorial community.

The strike hit a civilian facility amid residential buildings. As a result of the attack, the business center caught fire. Information about the scale of destruction and the condition of the injured is being clarified.

Zelensky reported ten injured. Local authorities did not provide other details about the nature of their injuries and possible hospitalization at the time of publication.

Elimination of the consequences of the Russian strike is underway at the site. Final data on damage may change after the inspection of the area.

Lozova regularly comes under Russian strikes

In August, Lozova and Lozova district repeatedly became targets of Russian attacks. One of the heaviest strikes occurred on August 23, when a Russian drone attacked railway infrastructure.

According to the National Police, the drone hit a freight car at a station near a platform where an electric train had stopped at that moment to evacuate passengers. Two women were killed and five other people were injured. Among the wounded was an 11-year-old girl.

A freight car, electric train cars, the platform, and the overhead contact system were damaged. Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings under the article on war crimes.

Another major strike on Lozova occurred on August 6. Russian drones damaged railway infrastructure, a station building, and a store. According to police, two men were killed and 11 others were injured.

Amid regular Russian attacks, Lozova remains an important transit point for evacuating residents from frontline areas of Kharkiv oblast. According to the regional administration, in the past day alone, the transit evacuation point in the city received 298 people, and since the beginning of its operation more than 55,000 evacuees have passed through it.
