All paid waiting rooms at railway stations in Ukraine have temporarily become free for passengers.

Ukrzaliznytsia announced the change on the evening of August 27.

The company attributed the temporary measure to significant train delays caused by air threats.

According to the carrier, due to the threat of ballistic strikes and attacks by jet drones, the schedules of a number of trains have had to be adjusted for safety reasons. Railway workers are working to restore timetables and ensure safe train operations.

During the forced waiting time, passengers will be able to use the paid waiting rooms at stations free of charge. Ukrzaliznytsia emphasized that this option is available to families with children, elderly people, and other passengers who have to wait longer for their train.

Water and tea are also available at stations. In addition, "Points of Invincibility" continue to operate, where passengers can charge their mobile devices and spend time while waiting for trains.

Ukrzaliznytsia recommends that passengers monitor current information about train movements and schedule changes.
