Zelenskyy spoke about negotiations with the leaders of Moldova and Romania

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that at the trilateral meeting with President of Moldova Maia Sandu and President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, the key topics were cooperation in energy, infrastructure, as well as European integration, according to Європейська правда.

He said this at a joint briefing with the presidents of Moldova and Romania in Chisinau.

Zelenskyy said that the central topics of negotiations with Sandu and Iohannis were cooperation in energy, infrastructure, and European integration of Ukraine and Moldova.

"Today we spoke about joint work in the energy sector, about the infrastructure that unites us, constitutes a significant part of the economic potential and national security of our countries. It is important that everything that can really benefit our countries works – and such agreements exist", – said the President of Ukraine.

"We especially appreciate the willingness to cooperate so that the export routes of solidarity in our region work at full capacity, despite Russia's attempts to block our ports and our maritime trade", – he added.

He named security cooperation as another topic, noting that Ukraine is ready to support the development of the security potential of Moldova and Romania.

"The leaders know the details of this. We expect that joint steps will bring results", – said Zelenskyy.

They also discussed European integration issues.

"Our common goal is full membership of Ukraine and Moldova in the EU. I am grateful to Romania for supporting our countries in relations with the European Union and at the level of EU institutions", – noted the Ukrainian president.

Recall that the trilateral meeting of leaders took place after the military parade on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Moldova's independence with the participation of more than 2 thousand servicemen with equipment, which was attended by Sandu and Iohannis.

The leaders of Moldova and Romania at a separate bilateral meeting discussed, among other things, how to resist pressure from Russia – amid systematic violation of their countries' airspace by Russian drones.
