Russia conducted dozens of assaults near Pokrovsk and Konstantinovka
Since the beginning of the day on August 27, 206 combat engagements have taken place on the front. The most intense fighting continued in the Pokrovsk and Konstantinovka directions, where Russian troops carried out 36 and 23 attacks respectively.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational summary as of 10:00 PM.
Over the day, Russian troops launched 61 airstrikes, using 188 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, 6,538 kamikaze drones were employed for strikes, and positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas came under 2,385 shellings.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops attempted 36 times to advance towards Belitske, Dobropillia, Annivka, Chernihivka, Svitlohirsk, Vasylivka, Serhiivka, as well as in the areas of Molodetske, Novopidhorodne, Kotlyne, Udachne, and Novopavlivka. As of 10:00 PM, one combat engagement was ongoing.
According to preliminary data from the General Staff, Russian losses in this direction amounted to 42 servicemen killed and 24 wounded. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed four vehicles, two special assets, and 38 shelters, and destroyed or suppressed 236 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types.
In the Konstantinovka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 23 assaults in the areas of Konstantinovka, Illinka, Novoselivka, Rusyn Yar, Novopavlivka, Sofiivka, and Kucheriv Yar. Three combat engagements continued.
In the South Slobozhanske direction, Russian troops carried out 11 attacks towards Kozacha Lopan, Hoptivka, Hrafske, Rubizhne, Starytsia, Dovhenke, Radkivka, Okhrimivka, and Chuhunivka. Three assaults were ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight attempts of enemy advance, in the Sloviansk direction — three, in the Huliaipole direction — also three. Two attacks each were recorded in the Oleksandrivka and Orikhiv directions.
In the Kupiansk and Kramatorsk directions, Russian troops did not conduct offensive actions during the day. No significant changes in the situation on other parts of the front were recorded by the General Staff.
