Kyiv region subjected to 28 repeated attacks after night strike

After the first night Russian strike, the Kyiv region was subjected to 28 more attacks during August 27. Rescuers continue to extinguish large fires, repeatedly interrupting work due to the threat of repeated shelling.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

According to the SES, since the night, air alerts were declared 11 times in the Kyiv region. In total, they lasted more than 14 hours.

A particular danger for rescuers is posed by repeated strikes on sites where the aftermath of Russian attacks is already being addressed. The SES reported 13 such strikes.

Due to the threat of new attacks, firefighters have to stop extinguishing, move to a safe distance, and return to work after the danger subsides.

Warehouse buildings on fire

As of the evening, rescuers continued to extinguish fires in warehouse buildings at three locations. The fires broke out as a result of Russian shelling.

The SES stressed that the work is being carried out under constant threat of new strikes and prolonged air alarms.

The Kyiv region has been subjected to intensive Russian attacks since the night of August 27. During the day, strikes were repeatedly delivered on facilities and areas where emergency services were already working.
