Drivers warned about the closure of the Zhytomyr highway near Kyiv
In the Kyiv region, traffic for all vehicles has been completely blocked on a section of the Zhytomyr highway — the international highway M-06 Kyiv — Chop. Restrictions apply in both directions.
This was reported by the Head of the Patrol Police Department Oleksiy Biloshytskyi.
According to him, traffic has been blocked on the section from the 15th to the 32nd kilometer of the M-06 highway. Thus, this concerns about 17 kilometers of road.
Detour organized for drivers
The patrol police published two alternative routes that drivers can use to bypass the closed section.
Drivers are urged to take the restrictions into account when planning trips and to choose an alternative route in advance.
The reason for the closure of the highway section was not specified in the patrol police report. It is also not yet reported how long the restrictions will be in effect and when traffic on the M-06 is planned to be fully restored.
The Zhytomyr highway is one of the main road routes from Kyiv to the west of the country and is part of the international highway M-06 Kyiv — Chop.
