Air Force reported massive attack of jet drones

Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 99 strike drones during September 1, most of them being jet-powered. Air defense forces shot down or suppressed 82 drones.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.

The attack lasted from 06:30 to 18:00. Of the 99 drones launched during this time, 72 were jet-powered.

According to preliminary data, Ukrainian air defense shot down or suppressed 82 strike UAVs. Among the destroyed and suppressed targets, 57 were jet-powered.

Thus, the Defense Forces managed to neutralize more than 80% of the drones recorded during the specified period.

However, the attack continued after 18:00. As of 18:30, about 10 strike jet drones were still in Ukrainian airspace. In addition, the Air Force detected new groups of Russian drones entering.

The military urged citizens not to ignore air raid signals and to stay in shelters when a threat is announced.
