Russia increased pressure on the front: 207 combat clashes occurred in a day
Since the start of the day on September 4, 207 combat clashes have occurred on the front. Russian troops attacked most actively in the Pokrovske and Kostyantynivka directions, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 29 and 16 assaults, respectively.
This is stated in the operational report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 22:00.
Over the day, Russian troops carried out 59 air strikes, using 216 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy used 6,768 kamikaze drones for strikes and carried out 1,721 shelling attacks on populated areas and positions of Ukrainian troops.
Most attacks in the Pokrovske direction
In the Pokrovske direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 29 Russian attacks. The enemy tried to advance in the direction of Bilytske, Novyi Donbas, Shevchenko, Matyashove, Serhiyivka and Novopavlivka, as well as in the areas of Udačne and Molodetske.
As of 22:00, one clash in this sector was still ongoing.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, Defense Forces repelled 16 assaults near Kostyantynivka, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiyivka, and in the direction of Pavlivka, Vilne and Stepanivka. Two battles were still ongoing at the time of publication.
Fighting continued in Kharkiv region
In the South Sloboda direction, Russian troops stormed Ukrainian positions seven times in the direction of Loshakove, Okhrimivka, Chuhunivka, Zarubynka, and in the area of Starytsia. Two clashes were ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, five attacks were recorded in the direction of Radkivka, Kovsharivka and Kupiansk.
In the North Sloboda and Kursk directions, Russian troops carried out four air strikes, dropped 13 aerial bombs and carried out 124 shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas. Two shelling attacks were carried out using multiple rocket launchers.
AFU repelled attacks in the Lyman and Sloviansk directions
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped seven attempts by Russian troops to advance in the direction of Shyikivka, Drobysheve, Lyman and Dibrova, as well as near Novoselivka.
Four more attacks were repelled in the Sloviansk direction near Ozerne and Kryva Luka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, no Russian assault actions were recorded during the day.
Russians attacked in the Zaporizhzhia direction
In the Huliaipole direction, Defense Forces repelled six attacks in the direction of Dobropillia, Vozdvyzhivka, Kopani, Tsvitkove and Charivne.
Three more attacks occurred in the Orikhiv direction near Mala Tokmachka, Stepnohirsk and Shcherbaki.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled one attack in the area of Novogeorgiivka.
In the Prydniprovske direction, no assault actions by Russian troops were recorded. In other sectors of the front, according to the General Staff, no significant changes in the situation occurred.
