AFU repelled dozens of attacks, most on Pokrovsk front
As of 22:00 on September 7, there were 181 combat engagements on the front. The most intense fighting continues on the Pokrovsk front, where Russian troops made 32 attacks.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its evening operational update.
During the day, Russian troops carried out 62 airstrikes and dropped 168 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy used 5506 kamikaze drones and carried out 1469 shellings of settlements and positions of Ukrainian troops.
Most active directions
On the Pokrovsk front, the Defense Forces repelled 32 attacks in the areas of Vodyanske, Novyi Donbas, Blytske, Shevchenko, Dobropillia, Kotlyne, Novomykolaivka, Bilyakivka, Serhiivka, Udachne, Molodetske and Novopidhorodne. As of 22:00, two more engagements were ongoing.
According to preliminary data from the General Staff, 67 Russian servicemen were eliminated on this front during the day, and another 23 were wounded.
Ukrainian units also destroyed four vehicles, 10 units of special equipment, a property warehouse and 53 enemy shelters. Six vehicles, two artillery systems, one unit of special equipment, nine drone control points and 127 shelters were damaged.
In addition, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed or suppressed 242 drones of various types on the Pokrovsk front.
On the Kostiantynivka front, the Defense Forces repelled nine assaults near Kostiantynivka, Novoselivka, Illinivka and in the direction of Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka.
On the Huliaipole front, Russian troops attacked eight times towards Rozhdestvenka. As of the evening, two engagements were ongoing there.
On the South Sloboda front, seven assaults were recorded near Starytsia, Lyman, Volokhivka, Khatnie and in the direction of Petro-Ivanivka. One engagement was ongoing.
On the North Sloboda and Kursk fronts, Russian troops carried out seven assault actions, three airstrikes with 10 guided aerial bombs, and 80 shellings.
On the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian forces repelled five attacks in the area of Kurylivka and in the directions of Kupiansk and Hlushkivka.
Another five attempts to advance were stopped on the Lyman front in the areas of Novoiehorivka, Novoselivka, Stavky, Torske, Zarichne and Lyman. One engagement was ongoing there.
On the Sloviansk front, Ukrainian soldiers stopped one attack near Kryva Luka, and on the Kramatorsk front, one Russian assault was recorded towards Yurkivka.
On the Orikhiv front, the Defense Forces repelled one attack towards Pavlivka. On the Oleksandrivka and Prydniprovske fronts, Russian troops did not conduct offensive actions during the day.
