After the blackout, electricity supply was restored in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions
Energy workers restored electricity supply in settlements of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions after a massive outage on the evening of September 8. Prior to that, most settlements in the two regions were left without power.
This was reported by the company "Ukrenergo".
According to the power system operator, during the air raid alert, the energy infrastructure was subjected to a Russian attack. As a result of the damage, a massive power outage occurred for consumers in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
As soon as the security situation allowed, energy workers began emergency restoration work. The damage was promptly repaired, after which power supply to consumers began to be restored.
Earlier in the evening, Mykolaiv was completely without electricity. The outage also affected other settlements in the region. Due to the blackout, tram traffic in the regional center was temporarily suspended, while trolleybuses with autonomous operation continued to run on the routes.
At the same time, electricity supply completely disappeared on the territory of the Kherson community. Local authorities reported a massive outage and reminded residents about the round-the-clock operation of the Invincibility Points in case of a prolonged absence of electricity.
"Ukrenergo" does not disclose details of the damaged energy infrastructure facilities.
