Russian drone destroyed a warehouse of a major toy distributor in Kyiv
A Russian jet-powered drone destroyed a warehouse of Kiddisvit company in Kyiv, where children's toys and other goods were stored. The company estimates the incurred losses as significant and is restructuring logistics to restore supplies.
This was reported by Kiddisvit co-founder and CEO Pavlo Ovchynnikov. According to him, none of the company's employees were injured as a result of the strike.
"The target of the jet-powered shahed were children's toys", – Ovchynnikov wrote
The exact cost of the destroyed goods and damaged infrastructure is not yet disclosed by the company. The head of Kiddisvit only noted that the losses are significant.
The destruction of the warehouse may temporarily complicate the fulfillment of Kiddisvit's obligations to partners. The company is already restructuring logistics flows and looking for solutions that will allow restoring full operations and supplies of goods. Ovchynnikov emphasized that the business will continue to operate after the attack.
Kiddisvit is one of the major Ukrainian distributors and developers of toys. The company was founded by Pavlo and Dmytro Ovchynnikov in 1997. Its portfolio includes about 100 global brands, including L.O.L. Surprise!, Baby Born, Battat and Bburago. The company's distribution network includes more than 700 partners and almost 8000 retail outlets.
The group also develops its own retail chain MYplay, which has 12 stores in Ukraine, and since 2023 – its own brands TechnoDrive, Borsch, Kiddi Smart and Pop Top. In 2025, Kiddisvit began expansion into the Polish market.
The scale of the business makes the destruction of the warehouse a significant blow to the company's operational activities. According to YouControl, cited by Forbes Ukraine, Kiddisvit's revenue in 2025 exceeded 1.4 billion UAH. However, the direct damage from the Russian strike has not yet been calculated.
On its own website, Kiddisvit calls itself a marketing and distribution group and states that in addition to the distribution business, it includes the MYplay network, the children's clothing retail chain Carter's, and the social project "Іoanniv Center".
