Russian drone hits high-rise in Kyiv: woman killed (Updated)
A Russian drone hit a nine-story residential building in the Dnipro district of Kyiv on September 9. A woman was killed and there are casualties, including two children.
The Kyiv City Military Administration reported this.
The strike occurred in the afternoon. Around 16:20, city authorities reported a direct hit by a UAV on a nine-story residential building in the Dnipro district. The impact caused a fire in the building and destruction was recorded.
Later, the KCMA reported a fatality and casualties. Among the injured are two children. Information on the condition of the victims and the final consequences of the attack is being clarified.
As of 17:20, the number of casualties in the strike on the residential building in the Dnipro district has increased to 3. Among them are two children: a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl. They are receiving medical care.


Updated: Rescuers report that as a result of the enemy shelling in the Dnipro district, a fire broke out in a nine-story residential building on floors 1 to 4, windows were smashed, and the facade was damaged. The fire was extinguished on an area of 30 square meters.
According to the State Emergency Service, 5 people were injured. 4 people were rescued, including 2 children.
Rescuers, medics, and other emergency services are working at the scene. A center to assist residents of damaged buildings has also been set up in the Dnipro district. There, people can receive consultations on document preparation and recording of damaged property.
This is not the first time a Russian drone has hit a residential area in Kyiv on September 9. In the morning, a drone hit a 24-story residential building in the Darnytskyi district at the level of the 11th and 12th floors. The impact caused a fire and wall destruction, and several people were injured.
Later in the day, a fire also broke out in a warehouse building in the Dnipro district after a UAV fell. Russia then continued its attack, and a strike on a nine-story residential building was recorded.
