Former PM Svyrydenko gets position at Kyiv School of Economics after resignation

Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko became president of KSE Business School, which is part of Kyiv School of Economics, on September 10.

This was announced by the president of Kyiv School of Economics, Tymofiy Mylovanov.

According to him, KSE donors responded positively to Svyrydenko's appointment.

The personnel change occurred after the previous head of KSE Graduate Business School, Valentyna Sakhno, moved to the position of KSE vice president and headed the new strategic direction of defence industries education.

Svyrydenko was previously associated with Kyiv School of Economics: she is an honorary professor of practice at KSE and a visiting lecturer at the business school.

The new position determined the future direction of Svyrydenko's work after her resignation from the post of Prime Minister in the summer of 2026.

In July, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, after a meeting with Svyrydenko, stated that he had offered her to head a "new significant direction in relations with a key partner." He did not specify the position at that time.

Later, "Ukrainska Pravda", citing sources in the presidential team, reported that Svyrydenko had not agreed to become Ukraine's ambassador to the United States.

In August, another employment option was also discussed. According to media reports, Svyrydenko was considered one of the top candidates for the position of head of NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine", but no official appointment took place.
