A Russian attack on a shopping center in Pavlohrad has already claimed the lives of 5 people, and 67 more residents of the city, including 8 children, have been injured.
This was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha. According to his data, strikes on the city were carried out around 17:00.
After the attack, fires broke out. Cars, trade pavilions, and a store are burning. Emergency services are working at the scene, and the injured are receiving the necessary medical assistance.
Initially, the regional administration reported a fire and casualties without specifying their number. Later, the authorities confirmed the death of two people and reported that the number of wounded had reached at least 18.
Update: At 18:05, Hanzha reported that the death toll had risen to 3 people, and the number of injured to 34. All the wounded are under the supervision of doctors.
During the liquidation of the consequences of the attack, two employees of the State Emergency Service were injured.
Update: At 18:25, Hanzha reported that the death toll had risen to 4 people, and more than 60 were injured. Among the wounded are three children. They are boys aged 13, 14, and 15.
All the wounded are now in the hospital. The medics are providing them with assistance.
Update: At 20:22, Hanzha reported that as a result of the enemy strike, 5 people died. Currently, 67 victims, including 8 children, are in hospitals.
"By evening, Russian UAVs have destroyed shops, trade pavilions, and cars here. Part of the street in the city center is actually destroyed. 90% of the damaged objects are commercial", - he noted.
Information about the scale of the destruction is being clarified. The type of weapon used by the Russian troops was not specified in the latest report from the Regional Military Administration.
