General Staff reported 173 battles in a day: the hottest sector — Pokrovske

Since the beginning of the day on September 10, 173 combat engagements have occurred on the front. Russian troops attacked most actively on the Pokrovske sector, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 28 attacks, and one battle was still ongoing as of 22:00.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the evening report.

During the day, Russian forces launched 76 air strikes and dropped 246 guided aerial bombs. In addition, 6,206 kamikaze drones were used for strikes, and 2,104 shellings were carried out at positions of the Ukrainian military and at populated areas.

The highest intensity of combat remained on the Pokrovske sector. Russian units attempted to advance near Dorozhne, Belitske, Shevchenko, Novooleksandrivka, Udachne, Molodetske and Muravka, as well as toward Annovka, Svitlovodsk, Dobropillia, Matyasheve and Serhiivka.

According to preliminary estimates by the General Staff, 48 Russian soldiers were killed on this sector during the day, and 222 more were wounded.

Ukrainian forces also reported the destruction of two Russian artillery systems, four vehicles, three pieces of special equipment, three drone control posts, three ammunition depots and 67 shelters. Another ten artillery systems, an air defense system, four vehicles and other objects were damaged.

In addition, on the Pokrovske sector, the Ukrainian military destroyed or suppressed 340 Russian drones of various types.

On the Kostiantynivka sector, the Defense Forces repelled eight assaults near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Dovha Balka, Toretsk and Volne, as well as in the directions of Mykolaipillia and Kucheriv Yar.

On the Lyman sector, seven attempts by Russian forces to advance were repelled. Another seven attacks were recorded on the Huliaipole sector.

On the South Sloboda sector, the enemy stormed Ukrainian positions four times, and one battle continued. On the Kupiansk sector two attacks were repelled, and one more clash remained active.

On the North Sloboda and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces repelled two attacks. On the Orikhiv sector two Russian assaults were recorded, while on the Oleksandrivka sector one attack was repelled and another was ongoing.

On the Kramatorsk and Prydniprovia sectors, Russian forces did not conduct offensive actions during the day.
