Unity Hub for Ukrainians officially opened in Prague: what services can be obtained at the center
In Prague on September 11, Unity Hub Prague — Unity Center for Ukrainians was officially opened. It will operate on the basis of the existing Ukrainian Consultation and Public Center and will become a place where Ukrainians can get information about life and integration in the Czech Republic, Ukrainian government services, as well as opportunities for voluntary return home.
Prague's Unity Hub became the third Unity Center for Ukrainians in Europe after the centers in Berlin and Stockholm.
For Ukrainians in the Czech Republic, the practical format of the center is especially important: here you can get advice on issues of stay in the country, pensions, military registration and electronic signature, as well as participate in educational, cultural and public events.
The center opened on the basis of the already functioning UCCC
Unity Hub Prague was not created from scratch. It operates on the basis of the Ukrainian Consultation and Public Center — UCCC, which already helped Ukrainians in the Czech Republic.
This is why confusion may arise around the opening date.
The consultation center itself started work earlier, and in September 2025 its activities were expanded to a public space built according to the Unity Hub model.
On March 2, 2026, the International Center for Migration Policy Development — ICMPD — officially presented the Prague UCCC as the first fully functioning Unity Hub of this type in the EU.
On September 11, the official opening of Unity Hub Prague took place as part of the Ukrainian network of Unity Centers. The Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine directly indicates that the new center will operate on the basis of the existing UCCC.
What services Ukrainians will be able to get
One of the main tasks of Unity Hub Prague is to help Ukrainians understand issues that arise when living abroad and at the same time require interaction with Ukrainian government systems.
At the center, you can get consultations and informational support on the following issues:
- stay of Ukrainians in the Czech Republic;
- integration into Czech society;
- voluntary return to Ukraine;
- reintegration after return;
- government services of Ukraine;
- pension issues;
- military registration;
- electronic signature processing.
It is important that this is specifically informational and advisory support. The center does not replace Ukrainian government bodies, but helps a person understand where to apply and how to use the relevant services.
The center will also help those who stay in the Czech Republic
Unity Hub is not exclusively a "return center" for Ukrainians going home.
One of its functions is to support people who continue to live, work, study or raise children in the Czech Republic.
Ukrainians will be able to receive information about stay and integration in the country and at the same time maintain contact with Ukrainian government structures and the community.
At the same time, for those who are independently considering returning to Ukraine, the center will be able to provide information about voluntary return opportunities and subsequent reintegration.
Almost 400 thousand Ukrainians are under temporary protection in the Czech Republic
The appearance of Unity Hub in Prague is particularly noticeable against the background of the scale of the Ukrainian community in the country.
According to Eurostat data cited by Ukraine's Ministry of Social Policy, about 4.4 million Ukrainians are under temporary protection in the countries of the European Union.
Almost 400 thousand of them are in the Czech Republic.
The Czech Republic is among the top three EU countries with the largest absolute number of Ukrainians under temporary protection.
And relative to its own population, the country ranks first in the European Union.
Therefore, Prague has become one of the key cities for the development of a network of Ukrainian centers abroad.
What else will happen at Unity Hub
The center is conceived not only as a place for consultations.
Unity Hub Prague will develop as a space for the Ukrainian community in the Czech Republic.
Here they plan to hold:
- informational events;
- educational programs;
- cultural events;
- meetings of the Ukrainian community;
- professional and networking events;
- public initiatives.
One of the goals of the project is to maintain the connection of Ukrainians abroad with Ukraine, regardless of whether they plan to stay in the Czech Republic, return home, or have not yet made a final decision.
Why Unity Hub Prague appeared
The creation of a Unity Center in the Czech Republic took more than a year of preparation.
On May 5, 2025, a joint declaration on its creation was signed in Prague. The document appeared during the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the Czech Republic.
Ukrainian and Czech government structures are involved in the implementation of the project, and the International Center for Migration Policy Development — ICMPD — is a partner.
The center will also work in coordination with the Agency for National Unity.
Unity Hub becomes part of the European network
The Prague center became the third official Unity Center for Ukrainians in Europe.
Previously, such centers opened in Berlin and Stockholm.
The idea of the network is to create permanent points of contact between Ukraine and millions of citizens who, after the start of the full-scale war, are in other European countries.
For some visitors, the main ones may be practical issues of documents or social services. For others — education, professional connections or participation in the Ukrainian community.
A separate direction is intended for people who want to get information about opportunities to return to Ukraine.

The center operates at:
Rokycanova 707/29, Žižkov, 130 00, Prague, Czech Republic.
Working hours — Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00.

What is important for Ukrainians in the Czech Republic to know
The main practical difference of Unity Hub is that several areas of support are combined in one place.
A Ukrainian can get information about life and integration in the Czech Republic, sort out individual Ukrainian government services, learn about community opportunities, or get advice on voluntary return.
At the same time, the opening on September 11 does not mean that a completely new consultation center has just appeared in Prague. Unity Hub Prague was created on the basis of the already functioning UCCC. The new stage consists in its official inclusion in the network of Unity Centers for Ukrainians and expansion of the role as a permanent point of contact between Ukrainians in the Czech Republic and Ukraine.
