In Sumy Oblast, starting September 16, the duration of the curfew is changing. It will be in effect from 00:00 to 05:00 — one hour longer than in recent months.

This was reported by the head of the Sumy Oblast Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov. The decision takes effect on the night of Wednesday, September 16.

Until now, the curfew in the region had been from 00:00 to 04:00. This temporary regime was introduced from July 1 to September 15 inclusive at the request of the region's farmers. An additional hour in the morning was needed for seasonal field work.

According to Hryhorov, the temporary decision expires, so starting September 16, the region returns to the 00:00 to 05:00 schedule.

The head of the Regional Military Administration urged residents to take the change into account when planning travel and work. He emphasized that when determining the duration of restrictions, the main priority remains security.

At the same time, in frontline communities of Sumy Oblast, the curfew duration may be adjusted separately depending on the operational situation. The regional authorities stipulated this condition when introducing the temporary summer regime.
