The Third Corps reported on the first results of the "Vivaldi" operation in Donetsk region

The Third Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the first results of the offensive operation "Vivaldi" in the north of Donetsk region. Ukrainian units liquidated centers of Russian infiltration, cleared a number of settlements and created conditions for continuing offensive actions.

This was reported by the Third Army Corps. The corps commander, Brigadier General Andriy Biletskyi, stated that the operation was carried out in a mode of information silence.

According to the corps, Ukrainian soldiers cleared about 75 sq. km of territory from Russian units and deoccupied another 10 sq. km.

In particular, the Defense Forces cleared Novoselivka, Oleksandrivka, Yarova and the vicinity of Koroviy Yar, and returned the settlement of Seredne to Ukrainian control.

The corps said that during the operation they managed to eliminate disguised groups of Russian military who infiltrated Ukrainian positions in small units. As a result, Ukrainian forces formed a bridgehead for further offensive actions.

According to Biletskyi, the operation also dealt a serious blow to the combat capability of the 20th and 25th Combined Arms Armies of Russia. The Third Corps reported approximately 1,500 Russian military casualties, more than 12,000 drones lost by the enemy, and hundreds of units of armored vehicles, artillery systems and automotive equipment. There is no independent assessment of these data yet.

Ukrainian units also affected Russian logistics. According to the corps, the enemy had to move part of the fuel and lubricants supply outside the occupied territory of Ukraine, and unmanned systems units disrupted the supply routes of Russian troops.

The name of the operation is connected with Antonio Vivaldi's cycle "The Four Seasons". Biletskyi emphasized that the achieved results are only the first stage of the operation and urged not to publish assumptions about further actions of Ukrainian troops.

"Good news will come, but now our actions require silence", — said the corps commander.

The Third Army Corps does not disclose the details of the next stages of the operation and the directions of further advancement.
