Russia has effectively destroyed an oil and gas complex facility in Poltava region

On the night of September 22, Russian forces launched at least five strikes with ballistic missiles on an oil and gas complex facility in Poltava region. In "Naftogaz" stated critical destruction that effectively makes restoration and further operation of the facility impossible.

The company noted that the attacked technological facilities had been stopped and idle for a long time. Their equipment was disabled as a result of previous Russian attacks.

"This facility has been attacked by Russia dozens of times since 2022, both by drones and missiles, and its equipment has been out of commission for a long time", - reported "Naftogaz".

After the new strike, the scale of destruction became critical. According to the company's assessment, restoration of the facility and returning it to operation are now effectively impossible.

Earlier, Poltava Regional Military Administration reported that Kremenchuk district was under massive attack at night. Russian troops attacked an industrial enterprise and a critical infrastructure facility there. In Poltava district, a drone also fell on the territory of a private agricultural enterprise, damaging a farm building and equipment.

According to regional authorities, there were no casualties in Poltava region as a result of the strikes. The Air Force repeatedly warned during the night about the use of ballistic missiles in the direction of Kremenchuk.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated after the attack that among the targets in Poltava region were allegedly the Kremenchuk oil refinery and the JTI Ukraine tobacco factory. The Russian agency also claimed that ammunition production was allegedly organized at the JTI enterprise.

The Ukrainian side did not confirm these claims. At the same time, in open information about JTI Ukraine, the enterprise in Kremenchuk is indicated specifically as a factory for the production of tobacco products for Ukrainian and foreign markets. There is no public confirmation of Russia's claim about ammunition production there.

There is also no confirmation that the facility mentioned by "Naftogaz" and the enterprise that the Russian Defense Ministry called the Kremenchuk Refinery are the same facility. The Ukrainian company did not disclose the exact name of the attacked infrastructure.
