Ex-Prosecutor General Kravchenko left Ukraine in a premium taxi - UP
Former Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko left Ukraine on the night of September 14 not in an official car, but in a premium taxi through the "Shehyni — Medyka" checkpoint, according to Українська правда.
This was reported by UP journalist Mykhailo Tkach, citing sources in law enforcement agencies.
Kravchenko, despite the fact that the official trip to Paris, which he himself signed, stated that the trip was made by official car (ed.), crossed the border directly in a premium taxi. This is a premium transportation service.
In particular, Kravchenko used a Mercedes-Benz V-Class taxi. The car belongs to LLC "Andreolli". Premium international passenger transportations are provided on this vehicle by request.
At the wheel was a driver registered as an individual entrepreneur in the field of transportation, born December 29, 1990.
Tkach noted that, accordingly, Kravchenko paid for the trip not from the per diem provided for a business trip.
It is currently unknown where the ex-prosecutor general headed after crossing the border.
"Our sources in law enforcement and political circles continue to say that he allegedly was choosing between Austria, Vienna, and Dubai, the United Arab Emirates", — said the journalist.
On September 14, "Ukrainska Pravda", citing law enforcement agencies, reported that Kravchenko went abroad in an official car on the night of September 14.
It is also known that Kravchenko submitted a resignation letter from the prosecutor's office. It was approved — Kravchenko was dismissed from the prosecutor's office on September 21.
Background:
- On September 7, amid the NABU and SAPO investigation into "protection" of call centers, Ruslan Kravchenko submitted a letter of resignation from the post of Prosecutor General.
- However, on September 14, he announced that he had signed a suspicion notice against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos and accused NABU and SAPO of seizing materials of proceedings against their employees during searches as part of the special operation "Carthage", in order to suspend procedural decisions in these cases.
- Sources of "Ukrainska Pravda" in law enforcement agencies reported that Kravchenko went abroad in an official car on the night of September 14.
- The Prosecutor General also announced that he had left on a business trip. According to the order signed by Kravchenko, he went to Paris for 5 days allegedly "to participate in PACE hearings on the issue of Ukrainian children." At the same time, according to the agenda of these hearings under the auspices of PACE, Kravchenko was not listed among the discussion participants.
- President Volodymyr Zelenskyy asked the parliament to immediately support the resignation of Prosecutor General Kravchenko.
- On September 14, Zelenskyy suspended Kravchenko from the post of Prosecutor General, and the Verkhovna Rada later approved his dismissal.
- As of September 21, Kravchenko, whose foreign business trip ended on September 18, had not returned to work.
