"Naftogaz" distributed subcontracts for reserve power supply in Kyiv high-rises

LLC "Naftogaz Bioenergy-A" concluded nine agreements based on tender results for installing independent reserve power supply systems in multi-apartment buildings in Kyiv. The value of already signed contracts is 3.24 billion UAH, while another agreement worth 848.5 million UAH is awaiting signature.

After signing the last contract, the total cost of the first phase of the project will reach 4.09 billion UAH. By December 25, equipment is planned to be installed in 1,133 high-rises - about 10% of the capital's residential buildings. Most objects are located in Darnytskyi, Desnianskyi, and Holosiivskyi districts, "Nashi Hroshi" writes.

The program covers buildings where heating or water supply systems cannot operate without electricity. This primarily refers to buildings above nine floors, where it is technically feasible to install the necessary equipment. Participation in the state program is available to buildings regardless of management form - condominiums, housing cooperatives, or those serviced by municipal enterprises.

Reserve power supply complexes should provide approximately three hours of autonomous operation. They will include inverters, battery energy storage systems, and diesel generators, the capacity of which will be selected depending on the needs of a specific building. The subcontracts also include equipment supply, installation, configuration, and commissioning.

The main volume of orders was received by LLC "Group of Companies "Avtostrada" of Maxim Shkil. The company already has six contracts for 2.87 billion UAH in Darnytskyi, Holosiivskyi, Obolonskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi, and Dniprovskyi districts. Another contract in Desnianskyi district for 848.5 million UAH is pending signature. If it is concluded, the total amount of "Avtostrada" orders will be 3.72 billion UAH.

Another three contracts with a total value of about 370 million UAH were received by LLC "Service Energy Solutions". They concern Pecherskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Podilskyi districts. Under the terms of the contracts, contractors are provided with an advance payment of 60%, and the rest is to be paid after completion of work.

The project is financed from the state budget reserve fund. On September 15, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated 989.2 million UAH to the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories for the Kyiv City Administration for the first phase and first stage of installing reserve systems.

The government launched the experimental project itself in March. According to the KMDA, its goal is to maintain the operation of critical internal building systems during prolonged power outages.
