Meta showed a pocket device for its AI agent Muse

Meta introduced a compact device Muse Charm, which is supposed to provide quick access to the personal AI agent Muse without the need to open a smartphone or app. The gadget can be carried in a pocket or attached to keys or a bag.

The new product was shown by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg during the Connect 2026 conference. The company describes Muse Charm as a pocket device for voice interaction with Muse in real time.

Muse Charm got a small display that shows a digital avatar of the AI agent. At Meta, this character is called Jolly. To start a conversation, the user just needs to touch the fingerprint sensor, after which they can ask questions by voice or assign tasks to the agent.

According to Zuckerberg, Meta moved the full set of Muse functions for voice interaction and digital avatar work into a compact body. The company considers Charm as an alternative way for constant access to AI for users who do not want to use smart glasses. TechCrunch notes that the device in format resembles a modern version of Tamagotchi.

Exact specifications of Muse Charm, battery life and price have not been announced yet. According to TechCrunch, Zuckerberg stated that the team is still finalizing the layout of the device, and deliveries are planned to start before the Christmas season in December. In the official Meta announcement, the company limited itself to a statement that additional details will appear later this year.

Muse is Meta's personal AI agent, launched in early September. It can work with the user's connected services, including email and calendar, perform tasks in the background and interact with other apps.

During Connect, the company also announced the expansion of Muse to other devices. In particular, the AI agent will appear in Meta's smart glasses, where it will be able to respond to voice commands and work with objects that the user sees. Meta is also expanding the set of Muse integrations with services for shopping, work and travel.

Muse Charm becomes another experiment for Meta with physical devices for artificial intelligence. Previously, standalone AI gadgets like Humane AI Pin and Rabbit R1 appeared on the market, but they failed to become mass products. Meta, instead, is trying to tie the new device to the already created ecosystem of Muse and its smart glasses.
