Three employees of the TCC in Rivne taken into custody after beating a man

The court took into custody three servicemen of the territorial center for recruitment and social support, who are suspected of beating a man during a check of military registration documents in Rivne. They were not granted the possibility of bail.

This was reported by Suspilne with reference to the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Western region.

The incident occurred on the morning of September 23 on Mlynovska Street in Rivne during mobilization activities. According to the investigation, representatives of the TCC stopped for document verification a 40-year-old local resident who had violated the rules of military registration. A conflict arose between the parties.

As previously reported, during the conflict, the servicemen blocked traffic, broke the window of the man's car, and sprayed gas into his face from a canister. Then, according to the investigation, they tried to forcefully pull the man out of the car, and after resistance, beat him.

The victim was diagnosed with a closed craniocerebral injury, a bruised wound and hematomas of the head, as well as a chemical burn of the eyes.

Three servicemen were notified of suspicion of hooliganism. The sanction of the relevant article provides for three to seven years of imprisonment. Law enforcement officers are also establishing the role of other participants in the conflict and giving a legal assessment of their actions.

The Rivne Regional TCC previously confirmed the very fact of the conflict during the document check and stated that it cooperates with the investigation. The agency emphasized that the final legal assessment of the participants' actions should be given by the court.

The investigation into the case is ongoing. The choice of a preventive measure does not mean that the suspects are considered guilty — their guilt can only be established by the court.
