Russia launched more than 160 attack drones at Ukraine in a day: how air defense responded

Russian forces used 162 attack drones of various types against Ukraine during September 25. Almost half of them were jet drones.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the military, 76 of the drones launched by Russia were jet drones. Thus, they accounted for about 47% of all attack drones used during the day.

Ukrainian air defense shot down or suppressed by electronic warfare means 127 air targets. This is almost 80% of the total number of drones launched.

The remaining drones were not included in the number of downed or suppressed targets. The Air Force did not specify in the message how many of them reached their targets, and how many might have been lost or ceased flying for other reasons.

The massive use of jet drones is becoming a separate challenge for Ukrainian air defense due to their higher speed compared to conventional attack drones. Ukrainian leadership previously reported on testing special means of intercepting such targets and on accelerating their production.
