Mykolaiv court head privatizes service apartment - investigation
Head of the Central District Court of Mykolaiv Halyna Podzihun together with her younger daughter has privatized a three-room service apartment that previously belonged to the city community. At the same time, the judge's family declares other real estate and significant foreign currency savings.
This is stated in the investigation by Nikcenter. The apartment with an area of about 118 sq. m was given to the family for use by the Mykolaiv City Council, and in the declaration for 2025 housing with an area of 117 sq. m already appeared in joint shared ownership of Podzihun and her daughter Anastasia Havrasiienko.
According to the city council's response to journalists' request, the permit for privatization was issued by the municipal property management on September 10, 2025. About a week later, the apartment was registered in the ownership of the judge and her daughter. At the same time, Nikcenter did not find a decision of the executive committee on the city council's website about the exclusion of this housing from the service housing list.
Journalists also drew attention to other family assets. In the declaration for 2025, there remains a residential building with an area of about 181 sq. m, which is listed as an object of unfinished construction. Back in 2020, Nikcenter reported that the building had signs of being suitable for living, and neighbors claimed that the judge's family lived there.
In addition, Podzihun's husband Vadym Havrasiienko has owned an apartment with an area of 93 sq. m since 2022. The spouses also declared $213 thousand in cash and over 83 thousand hryvnias in bank accounts. In 2025, the family purchased a Volkswagen ID.4 of 2022 release for 800 thousand hryvnias.
Separate real estate is also owned by the adult daughters of the spouses. According to journalists, one of them owns an apartment in the same building where the privatized service housing is located. In social networks, she also demonstrated Porsche and Mercedes-Benz cars, but Nikcenter emphasizes that their ownership and cost were assessed based on published photos and open market data.
At the same time, about 8,500 citizens are on the housing waiting list in Mykolaiv. Nikcenter appealed to Halyna Podzihun with a request to explain the necessity of privatization of service housing. After the publication, the judge sent a response, but did not answer the essence of the questions, noting that the request concerns her private life, not the court's activities.
