Russia attacks Kyiv and region: warehouses and infrastructure damaged
Russia launched a massive missile and drone attack on Kyiv and the region overnight into September 30. The main direction of the attack was Kyiv Oblast, where damage to infrastructure facilities and warehouse buildings was recorded. In the capital, as a result of the strikes, warehouse and non-residential buildings and shop premises also burned.
In Bucha district of Kyiv Oblast two warehouse buildings, three private houses and 11 vehicles were damaged, a fire broke out. Consequences of the attack on infrastructure facilities were recorded immediately in Bucha, Vyshhorod and Obukhiv districts.
In Kyiv significant consequences were recorded at non-residential facilities. In Podil district after the strike the roof of a non-residential building and building materials on the sixth floor caught fire, separately a fire and destruction occurred in a warehouse building. In Obolon district KMVA reported about a fire in a shop premises. In Holosiiv district rescuers extinguished a fire at a bathhouse, a temporary structure and a concrete mixer. Residential buildings also were damaged in several districts of the capital and region.
In Kyiv, according to the latest data from city authorities and SES, two people died, four more were injured. In Kyiv Oblast in Vyshhorod under the rubble of a destroyed building a dead child was found. Rescuers pulled out three more people from under the rubble: a man received shrapnel head wounds, a woman - leg injuries, another child suffered an acute stress reaction.
The Air Force reported that during the attack Russia used ballistic missiles "Iskander-M"/S-400, as well as "Zircon"/"Oniks" missiles. In addition, the enemy launched 188 strike drones of Shahed, "Gerbera" and imitator drones types, moreover 86 Shahed were jet-powered.
As of 08:00 air defense shot down or suppressed 160 air targets: five missiles of "Iskander-M"/S-400/"Zircon"/"Oniks" types and 155 drones. The Air Force recorded hits of air attack means at 18 locations.
