General Staff names hottest directions as of end of day

Since the beginning of the day, 30 September, 173 combat engagements have occurred on the front. The most intense fighting continued in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka directions.

This is stated in the evening summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 22:00.

During the day, Russian troops carried out two missile and 54 air strikes, using 176 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy employed 4,928 kamikaze drones and carried out 1,944 shellings of populated areas and positions of Ukrainian troops.

The Pokrovsk direction remained the most active. Defence forces repelled 27 attacks in the areas of Novomykolaivka, Vilne, Kucherov Yar, Stepove, Bilytske, Vodiane, Serhiivka and Molodetske. Two more combat engagements were ongoing as of 22:00.

According to preliminary data from the General Staff, in this direction Ukrainian soldiers eliminated 60 Russian servicemen and wounded 12 others during the day. Also destroyed were a multiple rocket launcher system, three artillery systems, a vehicle, an ammunition depot and 17 enemy shelters.

In addition, Ukrainian forces damaged three vehicles, one artillery system, five UAV control points and 184 shelters. 314 Russian UAVs of various types were destroyed or suppressed.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, Ukrainian units repelled 15 assaults in the areas of Oleksievo-Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Novoselivka, Dovha Balka and in the directions of Mykolaipillia and Petrivka. Three more battles were ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, Defence forces stopped six attempts by Russian troops to advance in the areas of Novoselivka, Derylove and Lyman.

In the South-Slobozhanske direction, the enemy attacked six times near Kozacha Lopan, Ternova and Izbystske. In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian troops stopped two attacks near Yampil and Pyskunivka.

On the Kupiansk direction, one attack towards Kupiansk was repelled. One more Russian assault was recorded on the Kramatorsk direction near Yurkivka and on the Huliaipole direction near Verkhnia Tersa.

On the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled two attacks near Berezove.

In the North-Slobozhanske, Orikhiv and Prydniprovske directions, Russian troops did not conduct offensive actions during the day. In other parts of the front, no significant changes in the situation occurred, according to the General Staff.
