No buyers found: the auction for the sale of Gulliver for $207 million did not take place
The auction scheduled for October 1 for the sale of the multifunctional complex Gulliver in the center of Kyiv will not take place - no potential investor submitted an application to participate in the bidding.
Acceptance of proposals ended on September 30 at 20:00. According to Oschadbank, due to the absence of participants, the planned three-round English auction did not take place.
Gulliver was put up for sale with a starting price of about $207 million, or 9.235 billion UAH excluding VAT. The potential buyer also had to pay a guarantee fee in the amount of 461.77 million UAH. The auction itself was scheduled for October 1 at 12:20.
After an unsuccessful first attempt at sale, the supervisory boards of Oschadbank and Ukreximbank must determine the further strategy for the realization of the asset. The banks promise to take into account the market situation, the readiness of potential investors, and security risks.
The Chairman of the Board of Oschadbank, Yurii Katsion, stated that the bank sees interest in the complex, but investors remain cautious due to war risks. According to him, the state banks will evaluate possible models and terms of a new sale, trying to obtain the maximum financial result.
As previously written by Kurs Ukrainy, Gulliver was put up for open auction at the end of August. The lot includes a trade and office complex with parking with a total area of about 151.8 thousand square meters, as well as land plots in the center of Kyiv.
The complex is jointly owned by two state banks: Oschadbank owns 80%, and Ukreximbank owns 20%. Their supervisory boards made the decision to sell the asset at the end of July 2026.
