"Nova Poshta" reduces free parcel storage to five days
"Nova Poshta" reduced the free storage period for shipments at its branches. From October 1, parcels can be stored free of charge for five days instead of the previous seven.
The company reported this. The new rules apply to documents, parcels, cargo, as well as car tires and rims. Conditions for pallets have not changed - they will be stored free of charge for three days.
The company explained the decision by the security situation. Due to regular Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure, prolonged stay of a shipment at the branch increases the risk of its damage or loss.
At the same time, Nova Poshta expects that most customers will practically not feel the changes. According to the company's internal statistics, 97% of shipments are collected by recipients within the first five days after arrival.
The storage period starts from the day after the shipment arrives at the branch. After the free period ends, storage becomes paid. Depending on the type and weight of the shipment, the tariff is from 15 to 50 UAH per day, and for pallets - 150 UAH per day.
In general, a shipment can stay at the branch for up to 30 days. After this period expires, it is considered unclaimed, and the company, according to its rules, may dispose of it at its own discretion.
