Russian troops attacked the Southern Bridge in Kyiv again on Friday morning, October 2. A new hit has been recorded.

This was reported by the capital's mayor Vitali Klitschko in Telegram.

"Another hit on the Southern Bridge. Emergency services are heading to the site," — wrote Klitschko.

At the time of the message, the mayor did not specify the nature and scale of infrastructure damage, nor did he report any casualties as a direct result of this hit.

This is not the first Russian attack on the Southern Bridge in the past 24 hours. The facility had previously also been struck, after which city services inspected the structures and temporarily restricted traffic.

After the night attack on October 2, traffic on the Southern Bridge was temporarily completely closed in both directions. The capital also introduced traffic restrictions on other bridges, and some public transport routes were changed.
