In parts of Ukraine on October 7, power outage schedules will be in effect
In parts of Ukraine on Wednesday, October 7, hourly power outage schedules will be in effect. The restrictions are related to the consequences of Russian attacks on the energy infrastructure. This was reported by NEC "Ukrenergo".
The specific time of outages and the number of queues de-energized simultaneously will depend on the situation in each region. Consumers will be able to find out the schedule for their address on the official websites and pages of local distribution system operators — regional energy companies.
"Ukrenergo" warns that the volume of restrictions during the day may change depending on the state of the energy system. Therefore, the schedules published by regional operators may be promptly adjusted.
Outages are applied against the backdrop of damage to energy facilities after Russian shelling. Emergency restoration work continues in the affected regions, and energy workers are bringing damaged equipment back into operation.
Restrictions are also in effect on October 6. From 15:00 until the end of the day, in some regions power limitation schedules are applied for industry, and for all categories of consumers — hourly outage schedules with a volume of up to one queue.
"Ukrenergo" explained the necessity of these measures by the consequences of Russian strikes and the need to avoid overloading equipment. After power supply is restored according to the schedule, consumers are asked not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances simultaneously.
At the same time, the situation differs depending on the region. In addition to hourly schedules, local emergency power outages may occur in certain areas, directly related to damage to networks and energy facilities. Such outages do not always coincide with the pre-published schedules.
The company urges people to rely on the messages of their regional energy company, since "Ukrenergo" determines the necessary volume of restrictions for the energy system, while distribution network operators form specific queues and outage hours for consumers.
Energy workers also ask to consume electricity prudently during periods of increased load on the system. The situation remains dynamic, so the duration and volume of restrictions on October 7 may be adjusted during the day.
