Ukrzaliznytsia plans to stop running two long-distance trains from October 20 — No. 79/80 "Sicheslav" Dnipro — Lviv and No. 31/32 Zaporizhzhia — Przemysl. The company cites the worsening security situation and a significant reduction in passenger traffic on these routes.

However, the final decision on stopping the service is still pending. The company also did not specify whether the cancellation of the trains will be temporary or permanent.

For passengers of train No. 79/80 "Sicheslav" traveling between Dnipro and Lviv, the company suggests using other trains. Among the alternatives are trains No. 39/40, No. 5/6, No. 3/4, No. 85/86, No. 41/42, No. 61/62, No. 261/262 and No. 127/128.

For passengers of train No. 31/32 Zaporizhzhia — Przemysl, there will be no direct route to Poland after the expected cancellation. Ukrzaliznytsia suggests traveling with a transfer in Lviv or Kyiv. This train provided a direct connection between Zaporizhzhia and Przemysl in Poland.

According to the carrier, the decline in demand is partly due to the worsening security situation. Operations on routes from front-line regions are complicated by air raid alerts, delays, and the need to periodically change transportation schemes. On routes where regular rail service becomes problematic, the company uses transfers and combined "train + bus" routes.

Ticket sales for both trains for departure dates from October 20 are already suspended.
