Russia scrambles Tu-160 bombers: possible missile launches

Russia scrambled Tu-160 strategic bombers in Irkutsk Oblast. The Ukrainian Air Force warned of possible use of cruise missiles against the territory of Ukraine.

According to the military, the Russian strategic aviation aircraft have been in the air on the evening of October 6. If missile launches are carried out, cruise missiles may reach Ukrainian airspace during the night.

The Air Force urged citizens to follow official reports and not ignore air raid warnings.

The mere fact of strategic bombers taking off does not mean a missile strike will necessarily occur. Information on possible launches and air target movements will be clarified by the military.
