172 combat clashes at the front: where Russians attacked most actively

Since the beginning of the day on October 6, 172 combat clashes have occurred at the front. Russian troops attacked most actively in the Pokrovsk, Konstantinovka and Gulyaypole directions.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in its update as of 22:00.

Over the day, Russian troops carried out 62 airstrikes and dropped 190 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy used 5,898 kamikaze drones and conducted 1,532 shellings of settlements and positions of Ukrainian military.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 23 attacks in the areas of Volne, Bilytske, Vodyanske, Dobropillya, Novohryshyne, Serhiivka and Molodetske. Another combat clash was ongoing at the time of publication of the update.

According to preliminary data from the General Staff, in this direction over the day, Russian troops lost 47 servicemen killed and 15 wounded. Ukrainian forces destroyed 15 vehicles, an artillery system, a unit of special equipment, two UAV control points and an ammunition depot. Also, 196 Russian drones of various types were destroyed or suppressed.

In the Konstantinovka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 assaults near Kostyantynivka, Novoselivka, Mykolaipillya and Osove, and one more battle continued. In the Gulyaypole direction, 11 Russian attacks were recorded in the areas of Rybne, Vozdvyzhenka, Dolynka, Rivne, Kopani, Yehorivka, Novoselivka and Charivne.

In the South Sloboda direction, Russian troops stormed Ukrainian positions near Starytsia, Izbytske, Zakharivka, Mala Vovcha and Varvarivka eight times. One more battle continued. In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled four attacks, in the Kramatorsk direction — two, and in the Kupyansk and Orikhiv directions — one each.

In the North Sloboda, Slovyansk, Oleksandrivka and Prydniprovske directions, no offensive actions by Russian troops were recorded during the day.
