Ukrainian IT exports return to 2023 levels
Ukraine received $4.46 billion from IT services exports in January-August 2026. This is 4% more than in the same period last year.
According to Opendatabot, the figure has effectively returned to the 2023 level. However, the industry has not yet recovered to the record values of 2022: back then, IT exports in the first eight months were about 9% higher.
IT remains the largest component of Ukraine's services exports. In the first eight months, it accounted for 41% of all revenue from selling services abroad. Total services exports for this period amounted to $10.9 billion, 6% more than a year earlier.
In the structure of Ukraine's total exports of goods and services, IT's share is 12%. Thus, approximately every eighth dollar of Ukraine's export revenue comes from IT services.
Overall, in January-August, exports of goods and services brought Ukraine $35.8 billion, almost unchanged from last year. About 70% of this amount, or $24.9 billion, comes from goods.
Meanwhile, in August, IT exports slightly declined after July's growth. Ukrainian companies exported IT services worth $554 million during the month—$13 million, or 2.3%, less than in July.
