In certain regions of Ukraine on Thursday, October 8, hourly electricity outage schedules will be applied throughout the day. The restrictions will affect residential consumers, while power limitation schedules will be separately introduced for industry and business.

This was reported by NPC Ukrenergo.

According to the power system operator, hourly outage schedules in regions where restrictions are necessary may be in effect from 00:00 to 23:59. At the same time, 0.5 to 1.5 outage stages are planned to be applied.

This means that the number of consumer groups disconnected simultaneously may change during the day depending on the situation in the power system. The specific time of power absence for each address is determined by the distribution system operators — local oblenergos.

Throughout the day on October 8, power limitation schedules for industrial consumers and businesses are also provided.

The reason for introducing restrictions, according to Ukrenergo, is the consequences of Russian missile and drone attacks on energy infrastructure facilities. In the affected regions, restoration work on damaged equipment continues.

At the same time, restrictions are not introduced simultaneously across the entire Ukraine. The list of regions and specific schedules depend on the state of the power system and the situation in local networks. Therefore, consumers are advised to primarily rely on messages from their distribution system operator.

Ukrenergo warns that the time and extent of restrictions may be adjusted during the day. If the situation changes, oblenergos should publish updated schedules on their official websites and social media pages.

The power system has also been operating under high consumption levels in recent days. On the morning of October 7, electricity consumption remained at the level of the previous day. The company attributed this, in particular, to cloudy weather in most regions, which reduces the output of household solar power plants and increases the load on the general grid.

Consumers are asked to use electricity economically during peak hours and not to turn on several powerful devices at the same time. After power returns according to the schedule, rapid simultaneous switching on of energy-intensive equipment may also create additional load on the network.

You can find out the exact time of possible outage at a specific address on the official website or in the services of the local oblenergo. Since the situation in the power system can change quickly, previously published intervals may be adjusted during the day.
