Russian military pilots involved in the missile attack on Ukraine on the night of October 7 will not be able to avoid responsibility by hiding behind the execution of orders. This was stated by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov.

He published the corresponding statement on his Telegram channel after massive strikes that destroyed residential buildings and killed civilians.

"Russian pilots who launched missiles at Ukrainian residential buildings tonight will not be able to hide behind orders," Budanov said.

The head of the Presidential Office did not provide other details. In particular, he did not name the specific Russian aviation units or crews in question, and did not specify how they are supposed to be held accountable.

One of the most severe consequences of the attack on October 7 was the strike on Pryluky, Chernihiv region. A Russian missile hit a multi-story residential building. The Children and Youth Creativity Center and an enterprise were also hit.

According to the latest data, the death toll in Pryluky has risen to 19. Among the victims are children. Search and rescue operations continued throughout the day, so the data on the number of dead was repeatedly updated.

Serious consequences of the attack were also recorded in Kremenchuk, Poltava region. Two people died there, and the number of injured by evening rose to 47, including two children. Five multi-story residential buildings with 431 apartments were damaged, as well as dozens of private houses. Six private houses were destroyed.

Russian strikes also damaged industrial infrastructure. In particular, after the attack, the Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill in Obukhiv completely stopped production. Production and warehouse facilities, equipment, and engineering utilities were damaged at the enterprise.

Against the backdrop of the consequences of the night attack, Budanov emphasized the personal responsibility of the direct participants in the missile strikes. His statement concerns not only those who give orders, but also the Russian servicemen who directly carry them out.

Ukrainian law enforcement agencies continue to document the consequences of the Russian strikes, recording damage to civilian infrastructure, data on the dead and injured, as well as other circumstances of the attacks.
