On the right bank of Kyiv on the evening of October 7, water supply disruptions occurred due to power supply issues. Some of the capital's water pumping stations lost power.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced this on his Telegram channel.

According to him, due to problems in the energy system, water pumping stations were partially left without electricity. As a result, water supply disruptions are being recorded on the right bank of the capital.

Klitschko did not specify which districts faced restrictions or when water supply will be fully restored.

The operation of pumping stations directly depends on stable power supply: after the facilities lose power, pressure in the network may drop, and on the upper floors of multi-story buildings water may disappear completely.

The problems arose amid a difficult situation with electricity supply after Russian attacks on the energy infrastructure. Energy workers and utility services continue to work on restoring stable operation of city systems.
