Another dead child found under the rubble of the house in Pryluky
The death toll from a Russian missile strike on a residential building in Pryluky, Chernihiv region, has risen to 20. Rescuers pulled the body of another child from under the rubble.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Thus, five children are now among the dead. Previously it was known of 18 dead, including four children. Another 55 people were injured.
The Russian missile hit an ordinary five-story residential building in Pryluky during a massive attack on the night of October 7. Part of the building was destroyed, after which a prolonged search and rescue operation began at the site.

Throughout the day, casualty figures changed repeatedly as debris was removed. In the morning, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the death toll had risen to 18 and the number of injured to 55.
Updated: Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Vyhivskyi reported that the death toll has increased to 20.
Rescuers continued to clear the destroyed structures by hand and with special equipment, as people could still be trapped beneath them. Medical workers, police, and other emergency services were also working at the site.
In addition to the five-story building itself, other residential buildings and facilities in the city were damaged by the Russian strike. Law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of the attack and collecting materials on the destruction and deaths.
The strike on Pryluky became one of the heaviest episodes of the massive Russian attack on October 7. According to the president, that night Russia used about 70 missiles of various types, including ballistic missiles, as well as attack drones, against Ukraine. Kyiv and 12 regions were under attack.
Simultaneously, Russian missiles hit residential areas and infrastructure in other regions. In Kremenchuk, Poltava region, two people were killed and dozens injured, and apartment buildings and private houses were damaged as a result of the attack.
Search operations in Pryluky continued until the evening of October 7. Final figures on the consequences of the strike may be clarified after full debris removal.
