In Kyiv, unsinkable points are being deployed in three districts due to power problems
On October 9, additional unsinkable points are being deployed in Kyiv's Obolonskyi, Podilskyi, and Sviatoshynskyi districts. These parts of the capital are currently experiencing the most difficult electricity supply situation after Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.
The Kyiv City State Administration reported this.
Heads of three district state administrations have been instructed to organize the work of unsinkable points to support residents during power supply interruptions.
The KMDA emphasized that the points must be equipped with necessary equipment so visitors can charge mobile phones, power banks, and other electronic devices.
The number of additional points, their addresses, and specific deadlines for deployment have not yet been specified by the city authorities.
Power supply interruptions continue in the capital
The decision to deploy unsinkable points was made after a new wave of Russian strikes on Ukraine's energy facilities.
On October 9, Ukrenergo reported damage to equipment and high-voltage networks that ensure electricity transmission between regions.
Due to the difficult situation in the energy system, emergency outages were applied during the day in some districts of Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast. In other parts of the capital, hourly schedules were in effect.
Damage to energy infrastructure also caused interruptions in public transport and utility systems. Energy workers continue emergency restoration work.
At the same time, the deployment of additional points does not mean that the previously created network has stopped working. Stationary unsinkable points are already operating in Kyiv on the basis of communal institutions, educational establishments, and other facilities.
Where to find the nearest unsinkable point
Residents of the capital can check the current addresses of unsinkable points in the Diia and Kyiv Digital applications, as well as on the city geoportal.
In Kyiv Digital, relevant information is available in the "Map of Resilience" section, and in Diia - through the "Unsinkable Points" service.
In the Diia application, you can also download the map of points in advance to use it without internet access.
Before visiting, it is worth checking the current status and working hours of a specific point. This is especially important during emergency outages, when the power supply situation can change quickly.
